I've been doing a lot of research on the meat industry, and to my understandings, many meat companies are cruel to their animals. I understand not all companies are cruel, but there really isn't a way to know who is and isn't cruel to their animals, because companies can easily lie about how they treat their animals. When I tell people about the research I have done, they say things such as Animals are to be eaten, or not having meat in your diet isn't healthy! To which I respond, I understand that, but one, there is a less cruel way to kill the animal, and two, having a meatless diet, is still healthy! People think that meat is the only source of protein, but there are MANY more foods that are the source of protein such as peanuts for example. Actually being meat free is very healthy. The animals are fed foods the animal wouldn't eat in the wilderness or even steroids to grow the animal faster so it can be slaughtered sooner, making the company more money. So I've been wanting to go Vegetarian for a while, and this is the time its going to start. This isn't going to pass well with my family, but oh well, I'm not changing my mind on this one. BYE!
